What is Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)?

« Back to Glossary Index

AGI stands for Artificial General Intelligence, a type of AI technology that seeks to replicate human-level intelligence and decision-making capability. AGI is different from existing AI systems in that it is not restricted to just one task—it is designed to be able to learn and reason across any number of tasks. AGI incorporates a range of technologies, including natural language processing, deep learning, image recognition, and reinforcement learning, to enable machines to think, learn and make decisions more like humans. AGI can also be used to automate processes, develop new products and services, and provide personalized customer experiences.

This type of AI is considered to be the most advanced form of AI and is still very much in development.
